God's handiwork is the inspiration for my paintings. He has provided us with a beautiful world filled with wondrous variety.  "His work can never be matched, but I love to try to represent it in my own small way."  My subject matter comes from my travels to India, Europe, Mexico, Florida and my beloved Ozarks in Arkansas.

MY STORY

I grew up in Neosho, Missouri and I am a commercial artist, product designer and painter. My true love is watercolor painting. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO and studied with nationally known watercolorist, Tony Couch and Kevin Macperson, nationally known plein air oil painter.

I am a signature member of the Artist's of Northwest Arkansas and Heart of America Artists.  I have won numerous awards, including twice "Best of Show" at the Siloam Springs Competitive Art Show at

John Brown University.

CRYSTAL BRIDGES
"FLORA SUMMER"

What a fun time on July 8th, 2023 at

the Crystal Bridges American Museum of

American Art where I presented an instructional floral watercolor demo and slideshow in Bentonville, AR.

Painting always puts me in my happy place, so my goal was to inspire people to paint so that they might enjoy it as I have. It can be confusing to know where to start and daunting to look at a blank canvas and be afraid of ruining it. I paint-over and re-use canvases.

The first step is just to START.

CELEBRATING SUMMER, FLORA & THE BEAUTY OF THE OZARKS

I‘m truly loving life now that I have retired from the corporate world.  I love to garden, grow flowers to paint and take photos of the birdies. Roseanne
